Research
- Designed synthesis of zeolitic nanoporous materials and their applications in energy, environment and other emerging fields, involving the following aspects:
1.zeolite synthesis: synthesis of new zeolites; developing new synthetic strategies; mechanistic studies; synthesis of nano and hierarchical zeolites; preparation of zeolite-encaged metal nanocatalysts;
2.catalysis: application of zeolite and metal@zeolite catalysts in various industrially and environmentally important catalytic reactions;
3.separation: application of zeolite-based membranes in gas separation and liquid separation;
4.energy storage: development of zeolite membranes as practical solid electrolytes in solid-state batteries;
5.host-guest assembly: utilization of zeolites as host matrices to confine guest species, affording unprecedented optical, electronic or magnetic properties.
